Pete Morton

Friday 12th July 2019 – we welcomed folk singer-songwriter Pete Morton to the Hinckley ACT for the first time.

“As a chronicler of the human condition and wry observer of history and the march of progress, Morton is up there with fellow Englishmen Richard Thompson and Chris Wood” – Glasgow Herald.

With special guests Desperately Seeking Snow White.

About Pete Morton

Pete Morton is a folk singer-songwriter with a wealth of great songs and a remarkable singing voice.

A compelling and energetic performer whose songs have been described as an unruly mix of humour, politics, love and social comment wrapping their way around the folk tradition.

Songs like ‘Another Train’ and ‘When we sing together’ have become folk club standards and his performances are a joy.

“An independent spirit, an old school troubadour… he continues his merry niche”

fRoots Magazine.
