Dave Kirk, Bob Tibbetts and Tanya Holloway
26/09/2014 @ 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Friday 26th September 2014 – we welcomed Dave Kirk, Bob Tibbetts and Tanya Holloway to the Hinckley ACT.
All three have appeared at the HinckleyACT separately as solo artists but this evening promises to be a little different. Yes – they will be doing solo spots but are using this opportunity to try out some new collaborations. Tanya has one of the purest singing voices you are likely to hear anywhere, and the skill and musicianship of these three artists singly and collectively is going to make this a really special evening. Strongly recommended!
With special guest Mark Newman.
About Dave Kirk and Bob Tibbetts
Dave Kirk is a very well respected acoustic guitar instrumentalist and also singer songwriter from the East Midlands. He has a number of albums to his credit, including “Keeping the Spirit Alive”, “Along the Way” and “Mayfly”.
His musical skills, on guitar or piano, have been borne out of many influences over the years whether it is from folk, Celtic, rock, pop or classical.
Bob Tibbetts said: “I was requested to write a bit of blurb about myself for the Hinckley Act website a couple of years ago. I signed off by saying, ‘Meanwhile, I continue to strive to find beauty and excitement in the acoustic guitar, and to present it to other music-lovers’.
“Whilst I recoil in horror at the apparent pretentiousness of this proclamation, and however inadequate I may be at achieving this aim, it is actually what I try to do (no doubt more pretentiousness to look back on!”
