Special guest Guy Rogers.
About Jon Sanders
Fresh from touring NZ and Europe with his world music band the Alpaca Social Club, Jon Sanders brings his solo show to a few select UK venues this September.
“Deeply meditative, impishly playful and jazz tinged” is how the Irish Times describes Jon Sanders latest album – Zoukelele.
Sounds of Mali to Morocco, gypsy jazz to bluegrass, celtic to contemporary ring out from his critically acclaimed “quantum leaping” mandola playing alongside innovative picked ukeleke soundtracks.
The Ireland/NZ based multi instrumentalist and composer has performed with a multitude of acts including Lord of the Dance musicians, WOMAD and Luminate festivals, slots on This is Your Life, and regularly tours with five different bands.
His mandola/bouzouki compositions have been featured in film and TV soundtracks and his innovative ukekele style evokes African and Arabic landscapes.
