About Red Shoes
Somewhere in Birmingham in the early eighties, a young folk singer called Carolyn auditioned guitarist Mark Evans for her band. Little was she to know at the time, that this would become a partnership not only in songwriting and performing, but also in marriage.
With their musical and lyrical savoir-faire they carefully craft images and hooks that remain determined to get in your head, representing points of view that give potency to the music and create lasting impressions.

Ring Around The Land contains sharply observed songs with backbone and intensity that will take listeners on an emotional journey, from the heartfelt deeply personal My Father’s Green Beret to the rousing anthem of the title track. The poignant opening song Celtic Moon was recently recorded by Fairport Convention on their album Festival Bell.
“This is modern British music of the finest quality and one of those albums that you can dip into time and again to find new nuggets just as you think you have them sussed. Brilliant” – Music-News.com
